The Health Insurance scheme accentuates the commitment of the state government towards improving the quality of life of residents and improving the poor health indices of the state, especially in the areas of maternal mortality, child health, communicable and non-communicable diseases and overall life expectancy. A robust and cost-effective benefit package which contains mix of health services that are in line with the health needs of the state as stipulated in the Strategic Health Development Plan (II) has been carefully designed to achieve the set goals and objectives of the agency.
